Spy Detector – Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of bug sweeping services and electronic counter-surveillance (“bug sweeping”) services by Spy Detector (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

a) Spy Detector provides professional bug sweeping services and electronic security inspection services for properties including but not limited to residential homes, vehicles, offices, and commercial premises.

b) Our services are limited to the detection of potential surveillance, listening, or tracking devices using suitable equipment and methodologies available at the time of inspection.

c) The service includes a technical inspection and report of findings where appropriate.

3. No Guarantee or Warranty

a) While Spy Detector applies professional care and uses advanced detection tools, we do not guarantee that any surveillance or tracking device will be found or confirmed to exist, regardless of suspicions or indications.

b) The absence of detected devices during a sweep does not constitute proof that no device exists; similarly, the presence of suspicious signals does not guarantee confirmation of an illegal or active monitoring device.

c) All findings are provided in good faith based on conditions observable at the time of inspection.

4. Client Responsibilities

a) You must ensure that consent is obtained from all necessary property owners or occupants before a sweep is conducted.

b) You agree to provide safe and unobstructed access to all areas and vehicles scheduled for inspection.

c) You must disclose any existing security systems, wireless networks, or devices that may affect the detection process.

5. Limitations of Liability

a) Spy Detector shall not be held liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the inspection, regardless of findings or lack thereof.

b) The Company is not responsible for any loss, damage, or legal consequence related to the discovery or non-discovery of any device.

c) Our liability, if established, shall be strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.

6. Confidentiality

Spy Detector respects your privacy and treats all information obtained during the service with strict confidentiality. Findings are only disclosed to the client unless legally required to do otherwise.

7. Payment and Cancellation

a) Payment terms - all works to be undertaken are to be paid in full online or otherwise agreed.

b) Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a fee of $45 with the remainder refunded.

c) If the sweep cannot be completed due to unsafe conditions, non-access, or client-caused delays, the Company reserves the right to charge for time and travel expenses.

8. Reporting

Upon completion of the sweep, a verbal or written summary of findings will be provided, outlining any areas of concern or notable results. Reports are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal proof unless otherwise stated.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Victoria. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within that region.

10. Acceptance

By booking or authorizing Spy Detector to perform a sweep, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Spy Detector Terms and Conditions.
